Each column has 150 etching in steel of 1,050 children drawings who were born in 1986 which was 150 years sesquicentennial year. By day these column have a look of shiny lace which is really laser cut steel and at night they glow from within like a lantern along the wall of the Wortham Theater the home of the Houston Opera and ballet.
