Bluebonnets are all along the roadside in Big Bend National Park with the mountains behind them. However they tend to mow them down to prevent fires so they were sparce in some areas.  These are some of the tallest and deep blue bluebonnets.  They are a hybrid wildflowers that will only grow in this desert area.
